Canyoning in Grenoble is an exciting activity that lets you explore the magnificent natural landscapes of the French Alps. Grenoble, in south-eastern France, is surrounded by rugged mountains and superb canyons, making it an ideal destination for canyoning enthusiasts.
Canyoning involves navigating narrow gorges, descending waterfalls, swimming in crystal-clear pools and using various techniques such as abseiling and jumping, not forgetting toboggans to traverse the canyons. It offers a unique blend of thrills and close contact with nature.
Between the Chartreuse, Belledonne and Vercors regions, come and take a breath of fresh air and plunge into the cool waters: abseiling, jumping into basins (never compulsory), tobogganing and other sensations are guaranteed in these magnificent canyons near Grenoble, with family, friends or on your own.
From May to October, our canyoning instructors will be on hand to help you discover or rediscover this magnificent outdoor activity.
Sassenage canyoning, more commonly known as Furon canyon and Infernet canyon, is less than 15 minutes from the center of Grenoble. The Versoud canyon and its nationally renowned big brother, the Écouges canyon, are less than 30 minutes’ drive from Grenoble.
Our canyoning instructors will provide you with the equipment you need for this activity: neoprene wetsuit and socks, helmet, GoPro (on request). Just remember to bring a bathing suit and sneakers!
