Canyon du Ternèze-Boyat

Located just outside the town of Chambéry in Savoie, in the small village of Curienne, famous for its vineyards, the Ternèze Boyat canyon is pure canyoning fun!

After equipping yourself behind the Mairie de Curienne, a short 10-minute approach walk will bring you to the start of the Terneze Boyat canyon, 150 meters long, which has nothing to envy the biggest: 2 slides of 12 meters and 8 meters, numerous jumps (not compulsory), abseiling, siphon (not compulsory).

As the course is fairly short, you’ll be able to repeat it and vary the obstacles according to your level and the instructor’s advice, for new emotions and to perfect your personal feats! Your instructor will show you all the subtleties of this canyon and the different ways of tackling all its obstacles.
The Ternèze Boyat canyon is ideal for youngsters and mixed groups, as everyone can choose their level of difficulty and discover a splendid environment sculpted by water over thousands of years, while having fun!

We’ll meet you at the rendezvous point on the map. Your guide will bring all the equipment you need for your outing: neoprenne wetsuit and socks, harness, helmet… You can bring a GoPro to keep a souvenir of your outing, or we can lend you one on request (you can call us to ask for one).

All that’s left to do is test the water temperature and descend this magnificent canyon!

What do we love about the Ternèze canyon?

This canyon can be as short (record at 43 seconds) as it is long enough to fill a 1/2 day of canyoning, if you’re game. There are plenty of jumps and variations that can be redone at will, making it the most fun canyon in the Massif des Bauges. The coolest obstacle is undoubtedly the 12m slide, which can be done in many different ways. We like to be able to choose which obstacles we want to make or redo.
