Canyoning du Racleterre
A great adventure for youngsters!
This is the ideal canyon to discover the activity from an early age.
Composed of a tributary of the Ecouges canyon and part of the Drevenne the course is easily adaptable to all tastes.
We’ll meet at our private parking lot, where we’ll equip ourselves with all the necessary canyoning gear.
After a 20-minute walk, we’ll start the descent via the tributary “le canyon de Racleterre“, which offers a number of slides and chutes, as well as two inclined planes of 4m and 5m for an introduction to abseiling.
A toboggan takes us to the bottom of the Ecouges canyon.
This is followed by a basin where many jumps are possible, from 50cm to 3m!
The zipline splashh! To be done again and again, or bypassed for the less motivated.
The last two basins offer a host of games that our canyoning instructor will help you discover.
This will be the end of the Racleterre canyon, so it’s a 15-minute walk back to the parking lot.
Before saying goodbye for other adventures such as the canyon du Versoud or the canyon du Grenant.

How to descend the Racletterre canyon, a canyon near Grenoble
The canyon du Racleterre is the ideal canyon for afamily initiation, with all obstacles within easy reach, located near Grenoble and Valence and only 1 hour from Lyon. This is the only canyon that allows us to welcome vacation centers with children under 12.
For individuals or families, all the canyons in the area offer activities from the age of 8, and in this canyon you can start as young as 7. It’s great because it’s very condensed and the obstacles are great fun. If you’ve chosen the Racleterre canyon, it’s because you want to discover the activity at your own pace. Once you have booked online on our website we will send you an email with all the information and we will ask you in return for some information such as the height and weight of the participants so that we can bring you the right combinations and meet you on the big day.
We’ll meet at our private parking lot to get kitted out and discuss your expectations.
After a 15-minute walk, we’ll arrive at the start of the Racleterre canyon.
The instructor will give a safety briefing and explain the various obstacles in detail.
And off we go for a super progressive canyon with jumps, slides, abseils and a zip line. The obstacles can be adapted to suit everyone, for example on the big basin you can do a 1m slide, a 5m, 6m or 9m jump (for adults) or a super zip line – that’s the magic of the Racleterre canyon. Once we’ve done and redone the obstacles, as the end of the ½ day approaches, it’s time to head back to the cars with a 15-minute walk downhill.
We’ll also be able to advise you on what to do after your experience in the canyon du Racleterre.
If you prefer water obstacles, the canyon du Grenant is just right for you, and if you want a more vertical canyon, the canyon du Versoud. There are many canyoning routes close to Grenoble.
